Two tins beans & sausage in a Pyrex dish creamed mashed potatoe with egg & butter on top then a good covering of grated cheese on top decorate with sliced tomatoes & in the oven until bubbling delicious . Would be good to make now there is that many different flavoured beans you could use x
May not have same appeal now, recall my son telling me when he was a kid he loved eating the leftover baking mix when his mother was baking cakes etc, so when he was a bit older he made a cake mix with the view of eating it raw,,, seemingly it didn't have the same appeal...

It's amazing what you will eat when the cupboard is bare and how these times challenge your culinary palate

New oven and dishwasher arrived this afternoon, Jim fixed the oven in (food is important to him) the dishwasher he will do tomorrow - as I haven´t got round to throwing out my Marigolds yet. It may end up as Thursday as we are meeting 'innit' tomoz for a coffee.

Looks the same as last weekend but it ain't, that was steak and Black Sheep Ale pie,,, this is chicken, ham, leek, mushroom, shalot, cider, cream and tarragon pie, served with buttered cabbage and baby potatoes, eight good portions in that pie...
Got a 2 liter bottle of Strongbow Original cider for £2 in Asda, 5% alcohol that is, so about a pint of that went in the pie and the rest in me while it cooked,,, Hic...

Re: Culinary delight thread...
Pickled onions,,, Annie's got a load of nibble stuff for after Christmas dinner when everyone is already stuffed,,, makes sense !!! So I'm sitting in kitchen, got a roast gammon joint in oven for tommorow, think it's part of an elephant the size of it, five and a half hour cook it is, roast beef going in beside it soon for a two hour cook, so I'm sitting in the kitchen on iPad and "CRACK", what was that I think,,, only thing in area noise came from was pickled onion jar,,, I check jar, tamper proof lid has popped,,, so I put it in fridge, "KRACK" again,,, mmmm, me now thinks that these things ain't ain't as tamper proof as we think...
And yes I'm bored, I hate Christmas, every fecking thing on TV or radio Christmas, Christmas, feckin Christmas...
Anyone got the "Who or What am I" I put up...
