Re: Culinary delight thread...
That sorted,,, going back to yesterday...
As I've said previously per going to watch football in pub with mates I like a good full English and yesterday was no exception, Annie passed on it as she was going to her sisters for dinner after dropping me off for football, so in the evening we'd just planned a nibble snack so prawn cocktail and avacado it was, I like my avacado sliced, Annie mashed plus toast melba to have the prawns and avacado on,,, hence two different looking plates...
Something just wasn't right with it, bit lacking in taste,,, went in to fridge tonight, Arghhhhhhhh the missing ingredience is staring me in the face...

Re: Culinary delight thread...
Irn Bru, think I've told this one before,,, I'm up Edinburgh for the weekend with girlfriend, she'd never been Edinburgh before so we're doing all tourist stuff, we're in a souvenir shop in the High Street, she's buying all things tartan,,, we get in queue to pay, on lead up to tills there are display fridges selling sandwiches, tins of Coke etc,,, there is an elderly English couple in front of us in queue, woman spots Irn Bru on sale in fridge, wherever they were from she'd obviously seen adverts for the product but never seen the real thing, next thing she's explaining to husband "it's made from girders"...

Re: Culinary delight thread...
Slumming it today, Annie and her mates doing Ale Trail so my plan was bit brunch then out to meet mates and probabably have some sort of takeaway, then got up late and couldn't be bothered heading out as I'm meeting up with them tomorrow to watch football, so making best of last nights teas leftovers, mussels in red wine with tomatoes, onion, garlic and parsley with crusty French baguette to dip in the sauce, and that's what's left over, two thirds of the baguette,,, so brunch was a Subway style ham, salad and mayo baguette, it was yum, and there's enough baguette left for an other one so that's looking like supper...
Last nights effort...
