Re: Ryanair...
I would rather be late than fly with those kents. His and his employees attitude stinks. Have you noticed the pilots uniforms? I have bought smarter looking stuff in ASDA.

Re: Ryanair...
11 flights cancelled from Stansted today. That is appalling. Probably in excess of 1500 people affected.
Good PR Mr O'Leary.

Re: Ryanair...
Pleased to say my flight is with Thomsons tomorrow. Only a horrendous traffic jam is likely to cause me to not be flying vaguely to schedule.

Re: Ryanair...
........ Or I take Patsys passport instead of mine. Only time I have ever not caught a plane. That was with Monarch by the way who just charged me £20 to fly the following day.

Re: Ryanair...
Sat next to a Fly B pilot coming back from Tenerife in January , we got talking about Ryanair , he was full of praise for them saying that they were good for training young pilots, I didn't know that every time a pilot is allocated a type of plane say 737 they have to be trained to fly that particular plane on top of their initial training and that is why Ryanair only flies one type of plane, it could also be a coincidence that Norwegian and Jet2 have the same planes , he also said pilots joining Ryanair had to buy their own uniform and various other bits and bobs ,he also said pay was less than other airlines, [no overtime etc]

Re: Ryanair...
Watched a program recently about Easyjet training pilots, don't know if it was a repeat or new, candidates had to put up £125,000 so bank of mum and dad stuff, youngest to get his license was about 20...

I found BA was the way to go in the last couple of weeks but I do have my fingers crossed. Never flown with RA and have no intention to do so.

Re: Ryanair...
Nor have I but its the attitude of the company that stinks and the way they treat their customers. Coming back to UK on Fridaywith Thomson we were treated to 2 Captains on the flight deck. Not that that makes any difference. If a 20 year old FO has passed all well and good, he can probably move his arms quicker than me.

Re: Ryanair...
Never had a problem with them, stick to their rules on luggage etc and always had good flights. Couldn't care less what they wear as long as they get me from A to B.
Just used Easyjet as a last minute flight to get us home (originally booked on Norwegian) both excellent and the online Call Centre at Norwegian couldn´t have been better when I needed to cancel.

Re: Ryanair...
Turns out Ryanair have to book you on a rival flight. To be fair I didnt know that either but as it happens when I flew back last week there was a problem with a Monarch flight going to Luton about the same time as my Thomson flight. First thing I do when I get to TFS is look at arrivals board to see if the in-coming flight is on time. Noticed that Monarch one then 6 hours late. In departures it comes over tannoy Monarch punters to go to blah blah so they can go to hotel for night. When I get on Thomson flight its unexpectedly full to capacity.......... Reason? Monarch punters on there. Good PR for both airlines then innit? Guess Mr O fecking Leary has a different view.

If anyone is caught up in this, see the attached link for an exact definition of your legal rights - Legal position on Ryanair Cancellations
A friend of mine who happens to be a barrister posted it on Facebook.
