It is a nightmare trying to fit everything in. I have to resort to only taking a very small bag which can go in the case.( No taking everything but the kitchen sink)
If they would allow ladies to carry a handbag and the men a camera case then that would be better. The problem is people will try and abuse it as they did in the past.

Yes, it's been a rule for some time. Have you seen the size of some womens bags though? A woman living here who was on my flight on the way over was fined €40 for this (she was livid) however if you follow the rules then you will be ok. On Monarch they weigh your handbag with your hand luggage so it has to be included in the weight allowance
