The last time I was over ( 18 months ago) the TF1 only went as far as Adeje but I seem to remember something about the motorway being extended. Do I still turn off in Adeje and travel up the west coast or does the TF1 now continue further north?

If I am forced to go to Los Gigantes that's the way I go. In the words of Jimbo, It's a bit Brit

Strange, I don't find it overly British but we don't go in for the typical Irish/ British pubs anyway. Always like the local bars /restaurants. I'm going to try that Drago place this time round Gypsy. Thanks for the tip!

Yes the motorway does go beyond Adeje and you can get there according to the map, however when we went to meet our friends we decided to play it safe and go the usual way

This is a bit of a contradiction after what I've just said but you should also try the Chicken Shack. Steve is a Brit, he is very camp, he is a councillor and he does the best chicken in the area as long as you can put up with his crappy jokes.
And yes Cru is right, you can continue straight on through Guia de Isora and drop down at Tamaimo but the last time I was that way it didn´t seem any quicker (always a hold up at Chio through the day anyway).

What map are you looking at Cru? I've tried searching for an up to date road map of Tenerife but they all show the TF1 stopping at Adeje.

Re: How to get to Los Gigantes
I'm not looking at a map 3F just visualising the road as I go along it. I don´t think at least at the moment the road is called TF1. After the roundabout if you go straight on it is a buggers muddle and goes into a dual carriageway [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] it then continues as a supposedly fast road through Guia but really it is no different to what is always was. It is a few months (possibly 3) since I have been that way I will try and pop along tomorrow to see what is happening, but no promises.

I continue along to Guia, then cut down through the Banana plantation, bit windy but empty road.
