Most likely. Btw, does anyone know the dates for the Festival del Virgen Carmen ( or summat like that) in July in Los Gig/Puerto Santiago. Have tried looking online but can't find anything for 2016??

Thanks Cam, would you know if the 16th is the final day of the festivities or the start? We'll be there until the 14th. Was at it 3 years ago, great vibe around the place and free concerts in the evenings. The fireworks are excellent as well.

All I know is the 16th is when the big event is. When they put the statue on the boat at the harbour and carry it along the coast for a bit then back again. It's HUGE in Puerto de la Cruz. There are thousands of locals there and it's taken very seriously indeed!

I think you will miss the Virgen, but you would like San Benito de Abad in La Laguna This is a bit long but you can flick through, music, dance, animals the lot it is on the 2nd Sunday in July

Ya, going to miss the main day M, but I think there are festivities each evening in the week leading up to it. If memory serves, there was a funfair just down from Spanish Corner in P. Santiago , last time, and a concert most evenings in the big plaza area by the sea.. Out apartment will be looking out onto the funfair. Don't really mind if I miss the parade, they are all the same anyhow. Might take a spin up to that one in La Laguna. Got lost up there before so we might go to see what its all about properly this time. Thanks M.
