Yeh, I read both those reports...

Rumours now that they will only get relegated to the first division what with this proposed merger of the SPL and the league

They have a great big problem now, Rapid Vienna have gone to FIFA and EUFA about the none payment of £1,011,763.44 from the £4 million sale of Croatia striker Nikica Jelavic in the summer of 2010.

I think I'm in the minority here but I fear for the Scottish game now.
Motherwell reckon they'll be next for the chop.

Re: If Rangers go down the Pan.
I was reading about Motherwell. Apparently 1/3 of their matchday income was generated by Rangers ( same more or less applies to Celtic). That means the other 9 teams combined only added up to the final third of money. If they increase admission prices then they more than likely will have even smaller crowds. Tough times ahead maybe.

Plus the big sponsorship deals Celtic get were only possible if the two signed up together.
It's not good....and serious hard times for Scottish football ahead D.

So do I.
I remember Rangers skelping them home and away in the European cup in the 90's.
The mighty Celtic Skelped them too,but I was just a twinkle in the eye.

Which is exactly why the SFA/SPL/SFL can't afford not to make an example of Rangers.
If they don't, every club in the SPL with cash flow problems will do exactly the same as Rangers and by default will have to be treated exactly the same way as Rangers.

Re: If Rangers go down the Pan.
They should let Dundee in by dint of winning Ist Div, and the Pars should be reinstated as it's one up, one down. (Gers are down).
Edit: Sorry, I meant Ross County, not Dundee. They won 1st Div.
Dunfermline Athletic F C
