    WTF

Apparently the £5.5 million was made up of £2.75 million for players contracts, £1.5 Million for Ibrox & Murray parks + Car Park

This is now in the realms of the absolutely farcical

What were those frigging idiots of administrators actually doing ??

They certainly weren't representing the Creditors.

Have to say I would not have put money on that outcome at the start of this fiasco, thought the “£” would have had a bigger influence.

Still some interesting days ahead, where’s the money going to come from for Rangers to get a team together to stage a fight back in to the SPL, plus the ongoing issues around the financial downfall and liquidation.

They broke the rules and paid the price Scotish football had to do the right thing, they could not be allowed to make exceptions because of who is involved.
Hats off the all the 'little clubs' who rightly stood there ground and weren't prepared to be steam rollered aside as if they opinions didn't count.

Great pay days head for the Third Division clubs who now get some much needed income and time in the public eye.

The underdogs always have there day.

There is still the issue that they have still to get a playing licence from the SFA which requires them to satisfy the SFA's condition's which apparently require them to accept responsibility for the oldco's deceipts.

Until they do that, they ain't playing anywhere - including SPL2 if that happens as they can't play anywhere without their national association's clearance.

Read the bit in here about SPL2.BBC News. Do you think this vote on the Newco was a charade and they're just going to bulldoze this change through?

i don't really understand why the new company should have to take on penalties and sanctions
i thought that was the whole point of them being a new company, starting in division 3 - isn't that enough?

I don't understand the legalities of it all, but it seems the "Newco" will keep Ibrox, Murray Park etc. and all the players contracts, (still to be decided in court due to some players absconding If Rangers go down the Pan. - Page 13 3025408739 ...) So basically all they will have done is changed the name and escaped any punishment. If Rangers go down the Pan. - Page 13 3275847336All the liabilities just disappear with the liquidated "oldco". That can't be right...

SFL Div 3 it is then, provided the SFA accept their paperwork and issue the appropriate licence to allow them to play again

It gets better by the day this fiasco

SFA has confirmed that it has the power to enforce the Oldco punishment on the Newco - see http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18873231 for details

Apparently they can apply any conditions they want on the Newco as part of the licence application agreement.

The smart money seems to be on the SFA not allowing them to just walk away from their debts to other clubs and football organisations.

They seem to be determined to send out the message that clubs can't just walk away from their football debts.

We'll just have to wait and see.
