Re: If Rangers go down the Pan.
Well Steven Whittaker has signed for Norwich City and Kyle Lafferty has signed for Swiss club Sion, so where does that leave Charles Green's claim that they are not "free agents"? Mind you, it does say..."subject to international clearance being received from the Scottish Football Association"...

Well, good to see some guts, even if it’s financially suicidal... what now 1st or 3rd division, any predictions.

Given that Neil Doncaster, the SPL Chief Executive is now spouting a lot of bullshit about the repercussions on the clubs if they DON'T put Rangers in SFL Div 1, I suspect they will probably be in Div 3; I can't see the clubs being too happy about the SPL telling them what to do. Nothing's guaranteed to piss off a Scotsman like somebody telling him how he should do things that are none of that person's business.
As the SFA rules state that any new club has to enter the SFL in Div 3, they can't allow them to enter anywhere else in the league without changing the rules and that can only be done at an AGM or by calling an extraordinary AGM to vote on the rule change.

Apparently, even their fans would prefer to start again from scratch in Div 3

Re: If Rangers go down the Pan.
Isn't there a rumour that the SFA is talking about amalgamating the SPL and the 1st division into a "super" league?? If so, would that "new" setup leave the door open to inviting Rangers to join it?

Re: If Rangers go down the Pan.
It seems the 1st division are going to vote against them joining...so probably wouldn't make a difference.
3rd Division it looks like for them.

Re: If Rangers go down the Pan.
Apparently McCoist now feels that they will be best served by starting again in Div 3
He feels they will have a better chance of rebuilding the club & squad from there

Sevco Director Admits Rangers’ Assets Bought at Undervalue – Liquidator Should Take Assets Back
http://scotslawthoughts.wordpress.com/2012/07/07/sevco-director-admits-rangers-assets-bought-at-undervalue-liquidator-should-take-assets-back/
Extract from article:-
A representative from Rangers Unite asked the board “What would you see as an exit price?” Imran replied that he believed on a bad day the club was worth £50 million.
“On a bad day the club is worth £50 million.”
I will repeat that… “On a bad day the club is worth £50 million.”
One more time – “On a bad day the club is worth £50 million.”
So one of the Directors of Sevco has confirmed in an open meeting that, on a bad day, his company has acquired, for the price of £5.5 million, assets worth £50 million! Three weeks after the acquisition of the “whole assets and business” of RFC PLC, the business is worth £50 million! Even allowing for a bit of exaggeration for effect, especially if the goal is to do a quick share flotation, the value is a long way up from the £5.5 million paid. Normally the courts will not protect a party who makes a bad deal, but here the court is being asked to protect the creditors, not the company RFC PLC, which made the deal.
