Millions spent on translation services in UK.

How come when I'm in Tenerife and I need something I have to find someone who speaks Spanish? I think it's unbelievable we are actually providing translations for 165 languages! (At the tax-payers expense of course). You can do this sort of thing when the economy is thriving and there is plenty money, but when people are getting benefits cut and wages are being cut etc, then this should be one of the first "non-essential" services to go!

Britain innit, Everybody takes the piss, I know a girl who doe's this, French german and some other lingo. She says most of them understand but use it to slow things down, I asked her if she ever said anything, "What and lose my job"

Just imagine though if you sacked them all, they would be on the dole. You would have some numpty in the dole office on huge amounts of tax payers treats going off sick for 6 months on full pay because some woman, came in and filled out the form in 12 different languages.

But in Tenerife YOU get the translation done, Try paying your rates in English, Nah, Your in Tenerife, Do it OUR way, So you do. If your lucky you get somebody who is helpfull, But we all saw that video on TF, Where the girl takes all the forms, And the guy is having none of it, That was funny but true,
We seem to have a bottomless pit of money in the uk,

The info I find out on here is amazing. Also it make your blood boil as in LR's post. It certainly opens your eyes

And while we're on the subject of squandering our money what happened to the so called freeze on Council tax. Mine has gone up 2.4%.......

4% ours and they have froze the City one. We got told the main part has not gone up but we had a 2 tiered rise and this is the second part, so in real terms we are in pocket. Blox

Seriously thinking of throwing in the towel mate, go and live on the boat, sign on and get the mooring fees paid, become a water Gypsy. Wonder if they have wifi?

Bang it in a Marina and you get the lot. Pay the geezer at the Marina and he may give you an all inclusive and claim the lot back, make sure you get a bit of a tan first though
