Jim, I've put a video on the Gairloch thread of the Bealach na Ba. See if you remember the hairpin bends...

Many thanks Cam. I remember them very well.
I don't reckon car drivers realise that for a biker to take that first right hand hairpin, he has to slow right down and then lean into the bend. If he then needs to put his foot down for any reason, the road surface is a lot lower on his right side than it is on his left. Definitely NOT a time to stall your bike !
In my case, on a fully loaded tourer, with side panniers, back pannier, tank bag, pillion etc. it would have been quite painful for us both.
Thanks again mate.

Beginning to come around to your way of thinking 3, I have a bit sympathy for lurkers, but here’s another one, this mcqueen bird, joins, throws in a quick few lines, then nothing for the next three days.

Re: Newbies
i agree that we are not expecting people to be posting all the time but even a thumbs up or a smiley on the jokes or video thread would show some sort of contribution

Re: Newbies
I agree MM. They needn't post at all if that's how they feel but if we could get some of them to post just once and say hello, we might be able to get some sort of conversation going and get a few more involved.

Re: Newbies
Just been looking at the non posters and there are many that have never posted. Maybe a idea to email them again. I think this was done a while back anyway but wont harm. I think a reworded message not the one that I saw in the Admin panel might be a good idea. I will see what the other Admin think.

Good afternoon H, long time no speak.
High blood pressure eh ? Just don't declare that on your travel insurance application or you'll be paying a fortune to the robbing gits.
