Like many I have just received the following newsletter from Whiskey of Traveller Blues Band.
After a great few gigs, we spent Saturday evening through to the early hours with the locals in a bar called Franziskaner, in Playa Arena, Los Gigantes. We played a pure blues session for the small audience and laughed and joked with them, it was a great way to meet new friends, and music was our language....
They have since asked us back, as an acoustic Blues duo, to play this Thursday......We will be at the Bar which is situated on the main front in Playa Arena, next to Neto supermarket, from 9.30pm - till 11.30pm and knowing the friendly audience, and friends we have made there, much later into the night.
We invite everyone who is local, or visiting the area to come and join us for the first true, LIVE ACOUSTIC BLUES SESSION, a true Traveller unplugged session, with guitars and harmonicas.....
Hopefully see you there....
Whiskey...
I hope to be at the gig, and taking notes and photos for the blog. I can´t promise to stay until the bitter end, the last time we did this 2 Saturdays ago I stayed until 4.00am. Juan (the manager of Route 66) who invited us this Thursday said the last session didn´t end until 7.30am !!!
