I gave up the golf 2 years ago so I'll have to do something to keep fit(ish).

Badminton season has started.
Just had my first 2 hours of badminton of the season. Don't feel too bad just now, but it usually kicks in on the second day. We play from September twice a week through to April. There are only 4 of us so it's non-stop best of 3 games then change partners.

Another 2 hours tonight, I'm going to suffer in the morning. That's us into full swing now, 2 hours Friday nights and 2 hours Sunday nights. It takes 2 or 3 weeks before the body gets used to it.

Haha, Mermaid doesn't play. It's just 4 guys. We play best of three then swap partners until the 2 hours are up.

Fantastic games tonight. Every set went to 3 games, so 9 games in all and there was some great rallys in them. I'll sleep easy tonight.

Just dont hurt yourself, Its good to stay fit, But knee's are delicate things, Along with hips, Pushbike or swimming Yeh, I have an elder brother, 7 years older in fact, Think nothing of running to my house 20 miles, ate a lettuce leaf every 2 weeks, Fit as anything, Well he fell off a roof, broke his neck and a hip, big gash in his head etc, Paggered now he is, So that keep fits a load of blox innit, I feel quite smug when i see him, All the times he pulled faces at my bacon sarnie, Pillock

Just looked up the "Urban dictionary" to see what "paggered" meant...knackered! (North Yorks saying seemingly).

Re: Badminton season has started.
Seeing as you live in Scotland you will probably get looked after on the NHS after you've knackered your hips playing badminton at your age. We English know we have to behave sensibly.
