We still haven't booked anything yet, sat last night looking for ages but the two women in my life don't know where they want to go.

I was looking at Turkey, never been there and found a nice resort after doing lots of reading about it, BUT with all this political unrest Im just not sure what to do.

Get yoursel there, we've been to Icmeler its brilliant was our first Turkey holiday 3 years ago now we are hooked great place superbly friendly people we agreed that going to Icmeler was like holidays used to be.

We are going back to Dalyan again this September same hotel as last September we were made to feel one if the family by the Binlik family who run their own hotel, Dalyan is simply wonderful.

As for the unrest ist confined to the main cities as in most countries apparently the level of unrest in the Mulga provence (which covers Icmeler & Dalyan) is epitomised by some old women sitting in silence outside the local government office all day !!
Don't get me wrong they are passionate people who love there country and want what's best but they won't let it effect tourism in the Med resorts they'll openly welcome you.

Believe me don't let it out you off the Lira exchange is superb due to it get yoursel there you won't regret it
if someone offered me a week in Icmeler or say one of Spain's Costa's I wouldn't have to think twice

Mind if it was back to the rock I'd gave to give it done serious thought !!!

Heading to Playa Blanca, Lanzarote at the end of next month. Wishing we had booked Tenerife now. However, the villa looks great and hopefully we wont have any of the troubles that befell us last year. With regards to Turkey, I wouldn't let the trouble there dtere me in any way. You'd see worse in Belfast during July and August

I was looking at Lanzarote as well, peurto del Carmen, I do lots of research ie google map walks etc, looks ok but just didn't grab me.

Looked at Tenerife again was thinking of staying at Paloma Beach Apts in LC, stayed there once before and looked again at them 2 years ago but the flight prices are ridiculous and TBH I could get a package deal when I tally it all up.

We really fancied a nice apartment without many people around but near the nightlife and hustle and bustle, not that keen on hotels as much now although if a good deal came along I would take it but we also like nice rooms etc.

We also wanted to go somewhere different that's why I was looking at Turkey, it was between Icmeler and Marmaris but Icmeler looks nicer ohhhhhhhhhhhh dear what to do.

Prices are pretty good but not sure if the heat will kill us in July lol

Speak to Mcqueen and don't be fussy on airports. Puerto del Carmen, I hated it.

Same here, Puerto del Carmen is a big long strip of Linekers's bars and the like. The old part is lovely but is right on the edge of the town.

Just back from seven nights Menorca paid £364, that was fight and two star apartment, apartment/complex was excellent value for the money, basic but clean and well kept, but that didnt matter as I didn't spend much time there apart from sleeping...
Friends had booked a holiday in a four star all inclusive some time back but I could not commit to booking as I had family coming over from the other end of the planet who I had not seen for a few year's and had made plans to tie up with them to travel north to see other family members, but their dates had not been set when my friends were making booking hence I could not commit.
Anyway as it happened I arrived back a few days before my friends were due to fly out, I tried to book in to same hotel but all searches came up with it being full, I even phoned the hotel direct to try and book and they confirmed it was fully booked !!!
The day before friends were due to fly I managed to find accommodation in an apartment five minutes from them, plus seats were available on the same flights, so booked it.
Their hotel was excellent, and the restaurant food first class, even more so as I managed to "acquire" a magic blue wrist band that entitled me to free food and drink,  result...

I've been to Puerto Rico 3 times and while it is a little dated, I love the place. It has a very friendly relaxed atmosphere with plenty of nightlife but not the 18-30 drinking contests you get in Playa Ingles. Daryn, you should check out Puerto de Mogan about 10 miles from Puerto Rico. They call it "Little Venice" Its breathtaking. See if you can get accommodation there

We were in Cala Forcat up in the north west of the island 1 h 45 m transfer from airport (arghhh), meant to be the lively hot tourist part of island "not", hotel entertainment was basic,  musicall style dance shows to taped music, entertainment finished eleven and bar shut twelve, we would then head in to town, one Main Street with one lively bar, it put on entertainment about ten to twelve, we went one night, entertainment was live, night we went was guy on guitar, another on keyboard and  two girls singing, the theme was sixths, they were ok but not the Dub, Claddagh or the Times, mind you one of the our bunch hooked up with one of the girl singers and spent most of holiday with her, so he enjoyed it !!!
The scenery was  stunning and changeable as we crossed the island side to side on the airport transfers.
Would I go back, no, need a bit more nightlife...

Do you have a website for them etc, would love to take a look anyway. If you need too advertise them in the property section on my site.
