On some of the smaller islands the air strips are just a bit of flattened field, if your meeting someone of  the plane you drive up and down the field to get rid of the sheep, if plane is landing and no ones there pilot may have to do a couple of low level fly pasts to scare the sheep away...

No fuss, no hi vis vests or flashing lights required...
