Freddie head butts a Merc!

Got a knock on the door 5pm on Friday. Your lads had an accident and he wants his Daddy..... Only 400 yards down the road so he didnt get far. Turns out car coming the other way lost control and hit him head on. Anyway eventually they scoop him up and take him to Kings Lynn Hospital and then transferred him to Addenbrookes in Cambridge where he has spent all afternoon in theatre getting put back together. Broken leg, foot, arm, wrist and hand. Dont think you will be riding a motorbike again I said. Of course I will. 

Jeez! Hope he recovers soon Vince!

Nurse Ting-tong is sorting him out. He hid some cookies under the sheet but she found them, its ok you can eat now she said, she didnt notice the ciggies inside........ 

Poor lad. Could have been worse I suppose. Glad to hear he's ok ( ish)!

Hope he is OK, and is soon on the mend.

I will probably collect the bike tomorrow from the recovery people, the cops wanted it left in situ whilst they took their measurements etc. From what I remember the seats look ok.    Off to visit him again soon I might take a photo. Been checking out on-line compo lawyers. His insurance company told me firm M**** will contact me but having googled firm M alarm bells are ringing........ I have sent firm A an email, associated with Motorcycle News and they have a proper phone number.  Daddy knows.

Poor bugger was lying on the grass bank in the cold and wind for 90 minutes, ambulance took 37 minutes to arrive, MAGPAS doctor for morphine about another half hour, he came from Lincolnshire FFS. Hope nothing like it ever happens to me. He was very brave. His femur was broken just above his knee and knee cap totally exposed where the skin had been ripped off. Foot pointing the wrong way. Not a pretty sight. Fortunately I'm not squeamish so was able to assist medics. If you are eating dont read this....... Ooops.

No incentive...ambulance crew get the same wage whether they get there in 5 minutes or 5 hours...

Son broke his arm/wrist in three places, much like Vince's sons foot his hand was dangling around held on by skin with bones sticking out everywhere, he had been mountain biking in the scottish borders with his mates and screwed up on a jump, ambulance took him to the local hospital where he waited nine hours for a surgeon to come from Edinburgh to piece him together, ambulance could have had him to Edinburgh in less than a hour...

Best bit of story, he had originally damaged his knee doing motocross for which he had to have a minor operation to sort out, he bought the mountain bike to get fit again for the motorbike racing...

Think i would fire a complaint off, How do the know there isnt any internal injuries, Bassa's.

Just back from a visit, he looks a bit more with it. Skin grafts need to be done so he may be in over Xmas. Cant stick photos on so if you send me your email Cam I will send photo, you know, like Reg does.

Bloody hell Mince............just got online so only just seen, Hope it gets sorted, Don´t use a compo insurance Vince use a litigation lawyer, compo ones just go for whatever they can grab without too much effort, Litigation one will ensure future injuries and health problems are covered. I dont agree with claims for just anything but for this you need the best. If his insurance dont cober your home insurance will cover check it out

Did the other driver clip him a bit side on? He seems to have come off worst on his right side.
