Thats a pity. I wonder, if they are restoring the natural coastline, will they demolish the eyesore that is the sea water swimming pool over near Crab Island?

Recall reading a bit about that law, think it was on Tenerife somewhere a town hall had been built on land to close to the sea, but it was going to be given an exemption from being demolished,,, just make up the feckin rules as they go along...

that was the "famous" hotel in El Medano I think. It's built on stilts/piers at the end of the beach ( actually, it overhangs the water). ( Can't be that famous, I can't remember the feckin' name! )

It is called the El Medano Hotel the hotel itself was OK it was the pier bit as you say on stilts over the sea that was the problem and should have come down. Still on the cards to do it but lots of petitions been lodged.
