We have to go to a balloon shop today to get a helium filled birthday balloon with "5" on it for Macie's birthday tomorrow and then we have to go to the restaurant where we're having Christmas dinner to pay the balance. Bank of grandad is picking up the tab as part of their Chrissie pressies...

I've booked a 2 night stay in the Riverside Hotel in Kendal on 20th October. Trying to use as much sick leave as possible for my breaks as I had to use annual leave for sick earlier this year!

I was in Kendal last year, i should have been in Keswick but missed the turn off the M6

Was it a nice place? I've always tanked down the M6 and by-passed it!

I'm putting in an attic ladder. I need to extend the existing opening. There were wires in the way so i had an electrician come in and extend them . feckin' health and safety is gone mad. This is a job anyone could do., but if anythibv gies wrong, thd insurance wiuld be invalid. My brother in law is a plumber. If he installs e.g.a pump, he cant wire it even though there might be a socket right beside him. An electrician has to be brought in. Then my brother in law has to come back to set the pump up. Makes the whole job double the labour costs for no reason

Same with students, I just give them a bulb and tell them to do it themselves,
They can blow themselves up

I've just been up the loft to get spare seats down as it's Macie's 5th birthday today and we'll get a houseful about 1:00pm. I'll keep them out Dermo for when the clan arrives!

Good news re our next break, after getting done with the $ rate Val had another look at our hotel in Florida, she found out that if we joined the Hilton loyalty scheme we could save$150 on a 4 day stay in the same room, happy days.
