Dunno, a 2% reduction effectively. What happens if the fare rise is above that? Just noticed, a monthly ticket between Glasgow and Edinburgh ( what is it? about 40/45 miles?) will go up by £82.50?? 
I can go from my local station to Athlone ( 46 miles) for an entire week ( & days not 5) for that!!
