Re: What are you doing today??
I've been working since ten this morning. Brought Shona to a footie match, went to price another job while she was playing. Woman was mad as a hatter. Had a luminous green/yellow hi vis skirt on. Just recently divorced. Think she fancied me. All I went to do was give her a quote to paint a workshop door. Ended up getting the whole house to do on the outside. Told her it would be June at the earliest. She said thats fine and promised to keep in touch

Anyway, just home now for a quick bite to eat and then back for more work for about 3 hours I think.

I have put the prices up. Today I threw out a stupid price to paint the outside of a bungalow. Reckon there is 4 to 5 days work in it so I said 1200 euro plus paint. She said yes straight away!Mcqueen wrote:Sounds like you want to put your prices up

Re: What are you doing today??
Yep, Patch is a Jack Russell but he is mainly white, just a brown patch over his right eye that you cant see in the photo. He was looking at me when I presssed the button but my silly camera takes about 2 seconds to obey orders. The clutch is still fecked on MG but not a problem for me as long as I keep away from traffic. I know the country lane route to North Norfolk coast. Saves at least an hour if the suns out. You cant see it in the photo but its full of yuppies there with Porsches and Range Rovers. A terraced cottage there will set you back about a million quid. Crazy. Couple of cars back an old boy and his wife were in their Saab convertible with picnic hamper sitting on the back. He was happily sitting in the driver seat supping Champagne from a glass. Yep, you can do what you like in North Norfolk. No crime, no Police.
Yesterday I went to my local wood yard hoping to purchase 4 sheets of his very good quality and very cheap 12mm ply but alas, some bugger turned up last week and cleaned him out! 70 sheets he had including some damaged ones. Greedy kent! Guy who owns the yard now tells me he may have to review his prices and anyway he cant get any more until after Easter! Bet its a fecking Londoner.

And I'm going down to Ayrshire to meet a man whose working hours mean I can't see him on normal work days. In my own time too I might add!
