Just the pc Cam, all the other devices are flying along. Pc is slowing down for a minute then speeds up. Sometimes it wont open a site and then immediately after it will

Been up to the garage this morning to listen to a so called mechanic saying i cant undo this injector pipe after he has chewed up all the corners, yes its in a difficult place and all he thought he could use was an open end spanner, i said did you not watch Sunday night at the London palladium, i turned it round and thread the ring part all along the pipe, smacked it over what was left of the nut and undid it arsehole He said dont tell the others, so i went in the canteen and told the lot of em

Worked on a fleet of fishing boats for a couple years as a shore based engineer, common problem in bad weather was the fishing net doors (first picture) hitting the propeller in bad weather, this would either take a chunk out of the propeller or bend it which would put a vibration through the boat like an out of balance wheel on a car...
Boat comes in with a damaged prop, pontoon (dry dock) at harbour we worked from (Granton Edinburgh) was in use, next available dry dock was in Leith Docks (Edinburgh), but dry dock was managed by Browns Engineering and they would only let their engineers use it, so a deal was struck, they're engineers change propellor but our engineers are allowed to carry out normal maintenance while boat is in dry dock... Me and another engineer are allocated to job, foreman from other company watched us like a hawk to see if we were doing any dry dock related work, which we weren't...
To remove the propeller it involves removing the huge nut that holds it on, propeller is about six feet in diameter, nut about 20 inches, special spanner is carried on boat for the job, you hit it with a sledge hammer, second picture below shows Queen Mary's one, ours was a bit smaller...
All day as we work in engine room all we here is bang bang bang hammering noises from the guys doing prop job, come end of day we are heading home, as we leave the boat other companies guys are still hammering away trying to get prop securing nut off, we look at them doing job then we both look at each other and shake our heads,,, then shout "it's a left hand thread",,, eejits had been hammering the nut tighter all day...

Re: What are you doing today??
painting my cousins house. she got the flu just after xmas. collapsed last week. turned out she got post-flu pneumonia and a clot on her lung. Her dad drove her into A&E and she said every bump was killing her. Doc told her she was lucky bumps didn't cause the clot to move and possibly casue a pulmonary embolism
