    That looks about right

    According to most of the forums, the first division clubs are categorically stating that they don't want them in the first division.

    There is of course the wild card that they can't get enough players to make a team and/or Whyte pulls the plug on the ground and they have to drop out of the league !!

    Yes, and if you take the 5.5 million Green got it for and divide it by the 51082 seating capacity of Ibrox it comes to £107.67 per fan.

    Talk about a piss up in a brewery...

    Hi Dave, my comment related to Longmuirs statement in the article;

    Which will be to apply the rules as they have always been applied and make them start again at the foot of Div 3.

    If they don't every club which runs into financial difficulties will do exactly the same as Rangers

    That may be, but it doesn't seem to reflect the statements being made by Div 1 clubs who are saying they don't want them in Div 1.

    To put them into Div 1 will I suspect need an amendment to the SFA rules which presently require a newco to start in Div 3.

    If this apparent proposal is approved it will be just for a couple of seasons.

    Once newco got into Spl then OF/Spl would quickly reinstate voting structure / league structure with similar sort of blackmail / bribery being offered to SFL today.

    ...... Back to square one,
    but SFL clubs would have been used / shafted to get newco into Spl in one season
    ..... With one major difference, lots of fans would have been lost to the game.

    makes you want to puke.
