Well, got the car fixed today. All working again and they only charged me £165, not the £179 as quoted, so that's a bonus. Macie is away home with her mum and dad now, had great fun playing with her, she's starting to climb up on things now so got to watch her like a hawk!. Mermaid is making the tea just now, I'm starving, I could eat a scabby horse, as they say up here.

Had a bit too much to do today, Needed to deliver a car and pick one up from the body shop, It needed to be washed too, But upstairs for thinking, I noticed in my brother in laws car a pre paid car wash card , So i borrowed it, Job done, I wonder if he will notice its only got one left

Our water feature that was in the front garden is slowly weathering and wearing away due to it being slate. Seems the bits that are wet are OK but the dry bits flake.



So I asked OH to move it into the back garden which has more shade in the hope it will last a couple more years. And move the one from the back into the front.



I am now letting him take it easy for the rest of the afternoon

Getting ready to go shopping for the messages (that's foodstuff to you lot down south). We didn't get last weekend because of the problems with my wee car. Today I went to near Nottingham to pick up a boat engine/gearbox and other boaty stuff. Thought I would take small trailer to save fuel. Barely got half a mile and blew a tyre, so back tomorrow with proper man size trailer to rescue little trailer. So 5 hours and half a tank of fuel wasted, grrrrrrrrr.

Got ny passport photo for my ID card... £5! (I'm going for a lie down in a a dark room in a minute.) Got batteries for Macie's birthday presents...(what happened to clockwork? ). Bought lots of cold and flu remedies...(did I tell you I was dying, just don't like to mention it). Just repaired the gas cooker, men's work innit. Mermaid had no idea. Now I'm sitting supping a tin of pepsi with my feet up. It's a hard life.

Rest day today, Patsy is making me a streaky bacon butty, hoping for heart attack I guess. Shopping soon
