This is total garbage!!! Ok they have had a pension payment withheld ,but can still access money via A.T.M.s I am in daily contact with ex-pats in Cyprus many of whom are members of the same ex-pats club we visit when over there and there has not been a single problem regards money,on the contrary many are saving money as they can,t buy some things that they normally buy and are therefore doing without until things return to what will pass as normal

    MAGIC ROUNDABOUT.
Trouble is we all think if we leave money in a bank, we are a customer. Actual truth is we are lenders, we are lending them our lolly and therefore are all subject to bad debts by our borrowers. Wrong yes as we are all convinced the safest way to look after our money is in banks, times are changing.
You can take out insurance against your savings, not sure of a company selling it but did hear it said on the radio.

Bet you're getting worried with dosh in the bank, hurry up and get signed up down the notary Kev.... Mind you, Spanish Government might think its a great idea to tax property owners as a one off. I can just see it happening. And where will they start? Foreigners, all us mega rich with holiday homes. That Sarah Beaney wants shooting...
