My Shona's 11th birthday today so going to KFC later. ( Her choice not mine!). Eileen just finished a stint of nights this morning, so have to keep the kids quiet until she wakes up. Might go to the playground in a while. Very mild here and not a breath of wind.

Ok todays topic education........Watching the news this morning and apparently most kids think cheese grows on plants and fish fingers are made of chicken. 
Anyway outside broadcast is in a school in Great Dunmow, aha, my two eldest kids went to that school. Shocked enough to see out of about 10 kids shown 2 were Asians, one grossly overweight, but then they interviewed the kids. Not one of them could string a proper sentence together and then they interviewed the headteacher and yes, you guessed it, neither can she. What a feckin\' shambles. God only knows how the kids in the inner city schools are getting along. English at best would probably be a second language and its my guess the teachers dont even bother any more and just collect their wages at the end of the week.
Here endeth todays lesson on multicultural Britain.

...well, I've been to ASDA for the messages. Grass was cut and verges trimmed yesterday. Mermaid got up during the night and took a funny turn. I heard her shouting and I went through and she was on the toilet floor. Said she came over all dizzy. I picked her up and got her about half way up and she conked out on me for a few seconds and went limp. So I'm off today on emergency leave. We phoned for an emergency appointment at doctors and got 4 O'clock this afternoon! Decorator is coming at quarter to five to finish painting hall ceiling.

Aha, wondered why you are not at work. I would suggest you take her straight down the hospital and bypass the doctor. Could be a stroke or something else serious.

Don't think it's a stroke pal. She can raise both arms, speech is OK, face is normal etc. She says she is aching all over and has stomach cramps...
