What are you doing today??

Lowest/highest tide today so this afternoon I am going down to the yacht to try and sort out the mast problem. I have a cunning plan..........It involves a ramp which goes up and down with the tide, some ropes and winches and of course the absence of marina staff who all seem to go home at 4pm.

Plan 2 is to beg or make a bosuns chair so we can send skinny Terry (grandson) up on a line to the top of the mast. Now I have been thinking outside the box and they do have a swing in their garden.......Or I'm sure my daughter has one of those baby bouncers that you hang in a doorway.......   

Either way I will try and remember to take the camera!

Sounds a blast V, I love all that make do and mend stuff

More shit happened at folks home last night. Mum got headache and tried to take loads of different tablets apparently. Still not eating. Think we may be on the final lap here.

Folks tell me the Harbourmaster Clint, I kid you not, has got a bosuns chair so I will ring him tomorrow. I remember when I first met him.......'Hello, my names Clint'. Feck me, I nearly burst out laughing on the spot. 

I have a cousin named Clint, paraplegic, dived in a parking pool pissed broke his neck. Today I was walking Alf and two staffs come running out of this gate we went passed and started attacking him. I grabbed back legs of one and lobbed it then just as the other was about to lock I put me foot in its throat. That did get Alf who put up a bit of defends but not bad. Some twat with tattoos everywhere came running and another geezer. The other geezer grabbed his dogs I grabbed the tattooed knob told them if I find my dog has been hurt I am coming back. Told them get muzzles or the police will be round

That could have been a child, we were in the Valdez centre and one of them ripped another dog to bits, Scary to watch, the owner just picked up all the pieces and walked off crying, I felt like shooting the fecking thing, Shocking it was,

Mu mum brought into hospital again. My dad very distressed. He went round town today looking for a doctor and got very confused. Have to go now. Talk later

Exactly what I thought when I read it, should be put down, including the owners...

Fact is our old German Shep/collie x had her leg ripped off by one and lived for another year with but mentally never recovered. Police went round they denied it was them, eventuallly got them done but dog had been passed to someone else. Not saying all staffs are the same as it is the way they are nurtured, but they do have a tendancy to be that way. Because of this I was very quick and also very upset so went into one and grabed geezer buy the chops and slammed him against the wall. Probably not a good idea with about 10 Spanish locals watching, but me or te old bill.

as the others said it could have been a child and you could have had amelia with you. It does not bear thinking about

Just saying a quick hello. Heading back to the hospital soon. Mam's salt levels had dropped through the floor. She is on fluid restriction at the moment. Strangely, Eileen's mum is also in hospital with the same problem ( she also has lymphoma ). Am absolutely shattered. Driving 150 miles every day. We're keeping a familiar face with my dad at all times and so far, he hasn't gone off a cliff with the dementia, though keeps asking what exactly is wrong with my mam. He also got upset when we were telling the doctor about mam's problems over the last 18 months. He said "this is the first I've heard about all this, and I live with her!" Anyway, talk later.

Grandson Terry up the top of my mast feeding ropes through pulleys. His Mum doesnt know, yet.

  Poor Terry, At the water sports opposite me they have a mast thing with the rope to hold up the sun shade wotsit, well one day somebody must have cut it, in the morning a young kid turned up, he grabbed the rope and shot up the mast like a monkey, I though Mmm i once did that up a gas lamp to get Janet a light for her fag, Not sure i could do it now

Gas lamps? In Leeds? Blimey, still in the dark ages when you grew up. 

My village has electric. 

Mind you, we aint got no gas...........

Lamp posts and then ships masts, used to climb up ropes too.

Went to the Lake of Menteith today and got a wee ferry over to  Inchmahome Island where the ruins of an Augustinian Priory are. (Circa 1238)...Lovely day was had even though we had to brave the 30 foot swells on the lake as we sat grim-faced with white knuckles...
