To be honest it looks like a right mish-mash, but I'd say the main stone would be sandstone...

Reg is from Yorkshire alright. Speaks funny, rough as a bag of spanners, looks like a bulldog chewing a wasp and bangs on the window with a sponge when someone leaves their wallet in his house.

Re: What are you doing today??
Just seen for the first time 2 police officers Walking yes walking round our street, usualy its a car drive past, I think they are worried about all the Romanians Latvians or what ever they are, Seem to be quite a few now just hanging around the shopping area and all the bars, No idea where they are kipping or dossing, But if its good enough for Park lane its good enough for Headingley,
Well lets face it they wont set up camp in a poor area will they,

I've taken dozens of photos of the old weaver's houses in my home village of Saline over the last year or so and I've since found out they are "listed", so I downloaded about 40 of them last night to the website. I'm going to get the rest of them today. There are 22 still to get, not all buildings, some are bridges over rivers or a summer hut in a farm garden, there are even a couple of mile posts!
It takes a few days for the photos to be approved so it'll probably be mid-week before they are all on the site. I'm quite chuffed that I will have provided all the pictures for the listed buildings in my home village!
Well done, once they are online give us a link so we can have a shufty.
Here's the link to the website Gypsy Listed buildings. Some are old weaver's cottages, others are structures such as bridges, milestones etc. Others are large Mansion type houses while some just may have an unusual architectural feature...Click on the Address you want to see and when the page opes click on the "Photos" tab.

Re: What are you doing today??
So all the ones that say Saline are photos you took and uploaded, I can´t see any credits given which is a shame because you have done a great job.
How did you know which were listed buildings, some like that Leckerstone Farm look very ordinary.

Re: What are you doing today??
That list you see was the list. I managed to get photos for them all except two, Hallcroft Farm (owner does not want pictures on web) and Grey Craig House (gates were locked). There is no camera icon next to the ones I couldn't get. I can see I've been credited (see example below)...Gypsy wrote:So all the ones that say Saline are photos you took and uploaded, I can´t see any credits given which is a shame because you have done a great job.

Found my mums medication in the car last night. She must have forgot it on Monday when I was bringing her home from hospital. Have to travel to my folks house now. Talk later.

Re: What are you doing today??
A jungle has appeared in my back yard. I will attack it later. I have a brand new reel of strimmer cord from ebay, but strangely the last bit in there has lasted for ages. Gallon of petrol also required, and Freddie needs to get out of bed!

Got to the folks house late this morning. Mum still in bed. Hadn't eaten since getting out of hospital on Monday. Had drank very little. Called Dr straight away despite mum not wanting one. My dad isn't capable of making an independent decision regarding my mums health. If she says "no", he wont do anything. Things not good though Dr couldn't find any reason PHYSICALLY why she not eating/drinking. My sister in law hit the nail on the head, "Ireland's oldest anorexic"

Re: What are you doing today??
Waited til this evening to use the strimmer. Sweat pouring off me it was. Just had dinner. Had to make it myself obviously, no other feckers gonna do it. Asked Freddie to cut the grass so he said he will for a tenner... Do it myself then........He's 18 next month, I can then legally chuck him out. Dont want him hanging round til hes 40 when he cant do simple stuff to help.
