Thanks M, we aim to please and I personally take a big stick up the barranco and tenderise yours before they bring to me, lol. Seriously as you know we offer to replace if not up to standard and genuinly not, I think that guarantees we try and provide the very best.

Oh yes and bad meat can be disguised by over cooking at low temps in liquid, know what I mean, many places offer meat that is braised, stewed or caserolled.

Annie loves here steaks but since her illness she's meant to to stay away from red or fatty meats so only has it as a treat meal now and again since, we normally got rump steaks from Asda, there were yum, but the last couple of times, the last being Friday, they were tasteless,,, so we're going to sack it for a bit, next time we do decide to have steak I'm thinking of trying fillet...

Fillet is very tender obviously but due to not having much marbling is lacking in taste so you have to draw the flavour. If you want the best flavour then go for a 28 day hung European sirloin. Irish, Begian, Icelandic, Scottish or Spanish all excellent, if Lamb then Welsh is the best then Icelandic but both much more expensive that a free range New Zealand.

I would Imagine that Taurus use Argentinian beef which many of us believe is the 3rd best now in South American Beef with both URuguay and Brazil being better.

Recall when I was a kid my dad saying to my mum don't get that tinned stew again it's rubbish, mum says we don't have any tinned stew, dad says yes we do there were three tins of it at the bottom of the kitchen cupboard, mum says that's where I keep the dog food...

I love casserolled or stewed meat but you need to use the right meat and beef flank, skirt or rump end cant be beat.

Re: Culinary delight thread...
What I noticed about Taurus this visit was it was busy most nights, a couple of times almost full to maximum capacity inside and out,,, plus the night we ate in the one below, The American Dream, we got speaking to the couple at the table next to us, conversation started when they saw the looks on our faces at the size of the portions, they said they had eaten there many nights and had not had a bad meal, they said they tried the Monkey Bar on the main drag one night and the food was terrible, couldn't eat it...

Guy in there that plays the guitar annoys the hell out of me, sure he can play really well but he fecks about, your just getting in the zone and he vears off, plus he keeps sneaking off for a line, he comes back rubbing his nose, he alone would put me off going in the joint

Have eaten in the resturant pictured below many times, can't remember it's name, it's on the sea front just along from Reg's gaff, Surfers is just around the corner from it, have mainly used it for lunches, share a pizza with a salad type thing or lasagna, or my favourite mussels, it seems to be fully staffed by Chinese, but they speak English very well and were very friendly, food was allways good and not silly prices, but had the mussels this time, oh dear, it was as if they had just steamed the mussels then pored some hot tinned chopped tomatoes over them, absolutely no flavour at all, may just have been the normal chefs day off or something but we never tried it again...
