Eldest grandsons birthday yesterday so we all went to one of those joints attached to a Premier Inn, food was pretty basic, I had an 8 oz rump steak served with sauce Bearnaise ,the steak was lovely but the sauce was wishy washy ,if you sniffed really hard you could smell some tarragon, but all in all a good time was had by all .James is now 19 B.T.W.

Posted this a few weeks ago on another thread, having it again tonight, about half an hour to yum time... (Just noticed, forgot to mention a leek in it as well), its a Jamie Oliver recipe, but can't get it to copy at the moment, will try again if I remember)...

Just watching a recording of a week old questiontime, there on about the free school meal thing, comment such as the kids are starving, poverty, poverty, etc,,, tell me, when was the last time you saw a skinny kid, they sit at their computers all day eating McDonalds, they're all a load of little dumplings...
When these politicians gonna get real...

    Culinary delight thread... - Page 3 1498946960

Cooked a fantastic meal tonight, shoulder of lamb infused with garlic and rosemary, carrots, onions, celery, tomatoes, and a bottle of red wine (missing one glass) in it plus roast potatoes on the side, five of us, approx £2.50 per portion, and still some left...

Educate people, don't feed them for free, nanny state gone wrong.......... Drag there parents, the skinny ones parents that is, and I'll bet they're fat fu#kers, off their lazy asses and show them how to bring up their kids rather than us feeding them for then, plus a bit castration and neutering at the same time wouldn't go wrong...

Plus all the left over extra bits, leek, carrot, onion, potato, celery, garlic, all chopped up, a bit salt and pepper, one veg, and one beef stock cube, nice pot of soup out of basically nothing...

Note, there was no wine left over...
