Never been in the Ibis but will have a look next time I  pass, there is a trendy cafe bar in the apartment block opposite the hotel if your desperate...

Remembered to cross the road and have a look in the Ibis as I headed to the pool match last night, reception area is set up much the same as the Travel Lodge you were in last time, but no bar as such, there are display fridges at the reception area with snacks, soft drinks and ALCOHOL for sale, there is a seating area as well, also noticed a sign saying "All you can eat breakfast", so they must do some sort of food as well...

Thanks Minty. That doesn't sound appealing at all. I'll look on Google maps for the nearest pub. There is a place nearby that is a thai restaurant/bar overlooking the canal but it does "craft beer" and bottles . Think I'll pass on that as well. What are you doing today?? - Page 20 1498946960

Your a bit short of pubs around  there, nearest is the bars in the station, or the my local,,, there is one down a side street a bit nearer, seemingly they put on random live music occasionally (Irish), oddly I've never been in, but will sus it out...

No, according to my travel agent wifey, we need a code because it lets them know the travel agent has checked my license is clean and am a bona fide driver registered with DVLA. (The car hire company could do the same I suppose but because it's UK based they may have to pay to access DVLA.) What are you doing today?? - Page 20 3561243520

It is UK only they asked me to download it before I went, which I did, I went to hire the car from a real shit company named GREENMOTION, they refused my car as I had a debit not credit card. I had pre-paid I have an annual excess insurance cover and plenty funds for them to hold the deposit. Reason is they cant take a fine at a later date from a debit card. I went to Hertz, car no worries went to give him the print off from DVLA, he said not needed if my licence is void it is my fault and I will get done not them. It states on DVLA site some companies may ask.

That the visa thing for the US BIll? Haven't filled out any forms for there in years. When we were going out, Eileen and myself thought we would go and work in the US. I got a green card but she didn't, even though she was a qualified nurse. So we tried Australia then. She got that visa and I didn't. I don't think they looked at the forms at all, just randomly picked out who was successful.
