Re: What are you doing today??
I passed my driving test in a Viva. And it was gold.
Been clearing out the new campervan. Found new wiper blades, fan belt, gallon of oil, a 2 cents coin and a 2005 map book. Handy that as mine is 2001. Found where the gas bottle goes too, and its full. Also a leisure battery under the passenger seat. Surprised to see it had nearly 4 volts in it so thats on charge.
Found out yesterday why Freds car broke down. All four heater plugs are fecked, dont even get warm! New Bosch ones ordered, never buy cheap ones as there is usually one thats a pig to get out, or in this case 2!

Yeah, 1 and 2 behind the pump on a Fiat. Had to remove a couple of injector pipes but still no room for a socket and of course the flats on the plugs round off easy with a spanner so the smaller stilsons were used. I have 7 cuts on the back of my right hand.
Water level in the Panda has remained constant after I put a new head gasket on. I'm always pleasantly surprised when things go to plan.

Priced the 2nd job. The guy wanted his hall done. Said it was quite big. He wasn't wrong, it's a Jehovah Wittness meeting hall. Won't know until next week as some committee has to meet to agree on my price. With a bit of luck I'll get it, praised be Jesus

Re: What are you doing today??
that is good news Dermo.3rdforum wrote:My folks got a new case worker from the HSE ( Health Service Executive) last week. I was talking to her on Tuesday. I was talking to the psychiatric nurse for the elderly from their team on Wed. The two ladies were visiting my folks yesterday. Then, yesterday evening, I got a call from their community nurse as well. All of them asked me What I thought of the situation. I unloaded ( not angry) on them all and told them myself and 2 brothers were at the end of our tethers and all 3 of us are now on antidepressants. Got a phone call today that after reviewing their case and metting my folks, they all agreed more care was needed so, in the new year, my folks are getting 2 hours every morning, 1 in the afternoon and 2 every evening, 7 days a week! They also said that my parents need 24 hour care which I said, tell me something I don't know, but this will take a lot of the pressure off us in the short term. . On the other hand, my mum didn't know my brothers wife last week even though she sees her at least twice a month. I told Jim, my brother, that its not a bad thing if she is deteriorating that fast. I could add more "clapping smileys" here but that wouldn't be ah feck it,

Walked down to the ferry terminal, showed Janet the correct way to load up,
then had lunch in the beach bar, walked back in the surf holding hands,
Then had a 30 minute massage without farting ,perfect day then

Re: What are you doing today??
I ran over a deer when I was coming home tonight... Jumped out of a hedge right in front of me. I must have being doing about 45mph it didn't stand a chance. I was going to keep it for Topdog but I didn't know how to get it to him. Maybe Carol could make a detour!
