Re: What are you doing today??
Quite a few peeps on TRG use the place if they are swopping apartments and need digs for a few days inbetween, I think its B&B,Adam Mint wrote:Ain't looked at that Reg, just want something, clean, central and with a sunny balcony,,, have been googling a bit and ain't come up with anything negative (or positive) about them Canary bunch,,, how the feck do you check it out....
also if an agent fecks up a booking thats where they send them so it cant be expensive, Tenerife is a mega busy place now until some nob blows something up

Always pay with a credit card for best protection. Plenty of space available with the squaters in Los Cris. Walked past it Saturday just before we had chicken lunch on the corner there. (Very good there by the way and cheep) Some young guy was standing on the first floor drinking a can of lager and gazing out to sea with red eyes. I gave him my wtf look.

Adam Mint wrote:Today Mathews I need a bit advice, looking at booking an apartment, it's on a site called Canariassunnyplaces.com looks like a private apartment on a residential complex, it's also advertised on a couple of different sites and the enquiries take you to the same person, have asked to pay by PayPal for security reasons and are being asked to pay 20% upfront either by bank transfer or credit card, anything sound dodgy? If not, which of the two is the safest way to pay...
The email replies I'm getting are from:- canaries global invest S.L I-0003479
Having googled the company it ties it to all the major holiday letting company's, is it a kosher outfit...

3rdforum wrote:Just did a quick check, they are advertising on Trip Advisor. They are also coming up on a company search here. Ask them for the owner's number so you can check their bonafides. ( though you probably won't get it if its a let on a residential complex). Ask them how they can confirm they are legit. Usually, the scam websites ask for 100% money up front.
Been doing a bit of a search around on that " canarias global invest ", that are replying to the apartment enquiries for a couple of sites it's on, it's looking like their main business is estate agents, that site you give snapshot of Cam, if you click on either the Spanish or Russian flag it changes to the Union Jack, as for going round and putting their windows in Reg, they've got a Facebook page, it gives address, phone number and a map, so windows in a possibility, office is in that roe of buildings opposite C C Aboras,,, so now it looking like they actually exist will pursue enquiry...
If you guys dig anything more up about them info will be appreciated...
Thanks

Anyone remember Annalfredo? Mermaid, MischiefMaker and hubby and wee Brodie got a place opposite where she lived. Called Parque Tropical Apartments. Looks nice and spacious.

Re: What are you doing today??
Was lucky with flights, base price £26 each way, had seat booking and case on top of that, £730 for 15 nights in apartment, so that's £48 a night, apartment one bed, looks ok but photos can be deceiving, it's close to C C Aboras so not to bad a location for PDLC or Los Cris...

Yeah, they remember us too!
I will be out in March too. Time we organised a forum shindig, little meal then hit the night life. Somewhere with a live rock band would suit me but then again I'm already half deaf, might not be everyones cuppa tea. I'm easy anyway, long as they dont sell shite beer.

I liked her and alfredo was lovely. He was very quiet compared to her and very charming. I often wonder if she is still in Tenerife.zdeekie wrote:Glad you got sorted Mermaid I remember Annalfredo I think she lost her husband he was Italian wasn't he x

A guys son i know started a few years back and i asked him for a quote, seems he wants £200 a day plus expenses, now some trades are worth £200 but usually they are older professionals,

Re: What are you doing today??
Jeez, I charge per job. If its a relatively small job It works out @ 120 euro a day, bigger jobs 100 euro cos I generally get similar jobs as a result.
