That's cause most of the locals give that place a miss and only the visitors go there.

Re: What are you doing today??
Today I went to Essex where I also spotted a bunker, otherwise known as a pill-box on the A134. Collected some rather nice leather seats for the VW. From a Jeep CRD whatever that may be but if they are good enough for Americans fat arses they will suit me fine. Saw lots of big planes landing at Mildenhall, shipping in some GIs I guess. Trumps Army.

Got paid today for that industrial unit I was doing ( for big construction company). Got my cheque so hopefully it won't bounce or anything. Lady was delighted, so much so, I have to go back in a week to paint a 1600 sq ft office for her

Re: What are you doing today??
Geoffrey who is 1 year older than me helped me move a Range Rover gearbox and transfer box,
well it might as well have weighed 5 ton, I have hurt my back and he has disturbed 1 of his nuts,
We must get it into our heads we are not what we used to be, , so went the day badly

Re: What are you doing today??
This week I'm painting a house that had smoke damage. The lady ( lovely lady from Coventry originally, but never stops yapping ), put a chicken on the boil on her hob 3 weeks ago. The pot ran dry while she was out and the smell and yellow staining everywhere. The insurance assessor came today while I was up a ladder. He asked what happened. She said " I had to pop out to the shops so I turned off the main electric cooker switch at the wall and I don't know what happened. The gas must have come back on by itself or else it never went off. I think that hob is faulty and it's only by the grace of God the house didn't go on fire". The assessor caught my eye and we just looked at each, with me trying my damnedest not to laugh
