Re: The doctors surgery
So sorry to hear your news D, I know what yo are going through I thought I was losing Jim a couple of weeks ago. We should now be in India but had to knock it on the head.
Went to the UK for a quick break before heading off, Jim took ill at first we thought sickness and diarrhoea but it just got worse. After 2 days we had to call 111 and then an ambulance. He was admitted to hospital totally dehydrated and put on a drip. We assumed that was it and he would be out next day but he just kept getting worse so was kept him in for 7 days. Our doctor here was great emailing me J's last blood tests so the hospital had a base line to work from as his kidneys were failing. Once they had those they knew who to
Had to cancel our flight home - so bad we used airport assist which were excellent. Then finally made it up to our doctors who said we should forget India so instead of heading to Delhi today I'm sitting on the sofa watching Emmerdale.

Managed to get her home. John travelled in ambulance with her just in case. She is now back in her own home, surrounded by those she loves and who love her. Still feckin' wrong though

Bad news about Jim M. Are you both still in UK then? Getting a bit nippy now. Best he gets well and back to Tenerife in the warm.

Re: The doctors surgery
Thanks V, No we were due to come home from UK on 19th but had to stay until 25th because of him being in hospital. We were then due to fly to India yesterday but they don´t call it Delhi Belly for nothing so doctor said don´t go. On Wed. they took him off all his meds. and we have to go back today to see if things are getting back to normal. He is slowly improving but needless to say now he feels his age and is soon getting tired.

Got letters from hospital yesterday...Prostate biopsies 0900hrs 9th Oct and MRI scan 1150hrs 12th Oct. I'll go up to the hotel after the biopsies and I'll make it back for the MRI scan after breakfast on the 12th! You could have put money on that happening!
