Re: The doctors surgery
Yes, we have barcodes in England you know. I had a nice camera on the end of a thin black snake shoved up both nostrils as well. To be fair it didnt hurt but I felt somewhat invaded. Mr double barrelled name consultant asks me if apart from my ear am I in good health! Oh yes I replied. Do you take any medication? Err, these pills for type 2 diabetes, these pills for high blood pressure, statins that I'm sure I dont need I say plus these 2 inhalers so I can breathe.

Re: The doctors surgery
Got my CT scan results last week. Forgot to say...they've found another abnormal connection between colon and bladder. That's what I had the first op for...

'Cos I've never had a follow up from the first operation... O only got the other CT scans because I was still complaining about a urine infection.

Arthur Lowe in Dad's Army sprang immediately to mind after reading this. Hope your surgeon isn't a big an imbecile!

Re: The doctors surgery
Went to doctors today, with a hacking cough and what I thought was a possible chest infection. Said I sounded like someone with severe asthma (which I have never had).
Was put on nebuliser and have to have it again tomorrow and walked out with a sack full of antibiotics, syrups for clearing the tubes, tablets to take at night specifically to stop coughing and help me sleep and a tablet to make sure my stomach doesn´t react to all the meds that will be hitting it.
Don´t feel 100% but a darn sight better than I was over the weekend.

When I went to my docs with the cough I'd had for 2 months, he asked me if I'd tried "Fishermen's Friends"!

Re: The doctors surgery
My doctor dished out some inhalers. Brilliant they are, work in about 10 seconds flat. That reminds me, nearly out of staying alive pills. Have to order them online now and it takes 2 days. 14 sleeps.
Well, more than that really because me and Patsy tend to nod off now and again these days.
