Feeling quite contented today , booked Barbados for my birthday and got a great deal , it is in the same hotel we stayed in 3 years ago on the same basis but for 3 days more and it was still cheaper than last time, it pays to call B.A. when Virgin has a sale on.

I'm taking Macie's kitten to the vets today. We took it last night as her right hind leg was all swollen. Seems she's been in a fight and the teeth and claw marks on her leg have gone septic, so last night she got a pain killer and anti-biotic injection. Today she has to get X-rays done. Appointment is half eight so I'll have to take her as Macie's mum will be taking her to school then on to work herself.

Poor wee thing doesn't really know me and she miaowed all the way to the vets. I had to stand outside waiting on it opening and I could see she recognised it from last night. Her pupils were dilated and she was crouched in her travel box all nervous and scared. She'll get an injection to get the pus out the leg and the X-rays done. Vet says she can be picked up after 4 this afternoon. Poor wee thing. Brought back memories of when I had to take my own cat to the vets to be put down due to age and not being able to clean or look after herself. I'd not known Trish long and it was before we were married, she came along with me and gave me a shoulder to cry on...

Only thing I can beef about is animals, I miss Brian Denson alot, he was special

Just picked up Heidi from the vets. She's a lot happier now. Didn't have to cut the leg for the pus as swelling went down itself, but she has 3 punctures/bite wounds to the leg so she's not allowed out for a week and she'll get another check-up. You'd think it was my feckin' cat!

I paid the excess last night. £85.00. Today the pet insurance kicked in...

Jeez, these insurance companys take the piss eh? Been cleaning Patsys Beetle TDi today ready to sell it. I have a bit of paintwork to do as well, sills that were welded by me last year and scratch marks on plastic bumper. This was her 4th Beetle, all the others came to sticky ends. At least this ones a survivor. She is now driving a nice but elderly, W reg, low mileage Rover 25 diesel. She actually likes it which is a right result. She is learning then....... Now, who would think a car made in Birmingham would be better than a VW? Trust me, it is! Although to be fair to VW all the Beetles are made in Mexico. Not a proper German car then...........
