I'm taking Mermaid to the hospital today to get her long overdue facial injections. She's been in pain for a while now.

This morning , local council workers were using cones to section off an area of about 120 yds long. Outside some houses. There was plenty of room to pass but they decided to put up traffic lights anyway. Virgin engineer been and everything working fine except they didn't transfer over my existing number. Hopefully it'll be done within 2 weeks but I won't hold my breath. TVs OK, Broadband's fine and phone working.

My very first customers are a couple in their 80's. The lady had a stroke years ago and has no use of her left arm. She is very self conscious and continuously uses Neutragena hand cream. Her ability to walk is quite small and when she doesn't use her walking stick, she uses the top of chairs to help her balance. Last year, I paint their kitchen chairs. The paint I put on is congealing and the old paint underneath has gone soft. I've tried telling them it's the hand cream but they can't believe that ( oil will break down most paints eventually and especially plastic ones like acrylic. I have just spent 4 hours stripping just 2 of the feckin chairs and still haven't got back to bare wood. I reckon another 2 coats of paint stripper will be needed. Then I have another 4 chairs to do. And I'm high as a kite.
