Dermo,so sorry to hear what has happened. I hope Eileen is ok and that they sort it out.3rdforum wrote:Walked in the door this evening. eileen in floods of tears. Some bloke accused her of assaulting him, in the hospital today. Hospital management and police involved. Prob didn't help me laughing . I said did he have any witnesses? She said no? I think I might have then crossed the line when I said, "you're all right then as long as you didn't leave any marks" . Anyway, there will be some investigation and there is a possibility she will be suspended pending the outcome. I better go and see if she is all right. She went crying to the bedroom. Nice those rivers are not deep so a normal person could stand up and not drown

Make sure Vince is not in charge or you will end up on dry land if his steering is like his driving.

Re: What are you doing today??
Got my car valeted yesterday, Seats shampooed, mats all lifted and cleaned...it's like new again! All these years of Macie and Brodie getting crumbs and drinks all over the place have been cleaned up. £60, which included vehicle wash as well. Only downside was it was in Dalgety Bay and I had to get a bus back to Dunfermline. Feck me, they go in every housing estate in every village! It took me 3/4 of an hour for a journey that should take 10 minutes! Then I had to do it again to go back for the car!.Good part though is that St. Nicola of the SNP issued me with a bus pass that allows me to travel anywhere in Scotland free!

Re: What are you doing today??
Ah, we was up that area Friday to Sunday, good job we didn't bump in to you,,, Bit of a case of the best laid plans going tits up,,, Sharon had an early meeting Blackpool Friday morning, then a second meeting Carlisle in the afternoon, so plan was overnight stay Blackpool Thursday night so she's there for Friday morning meeting, quick blast up to Carlisle for afternoon meeting then rather than home since we're up Lake District rent somewhere for Friday and Saturday night, rental in lakes was comming up expensive but we managed to get a cottage in Cockermouth at a reasonable price and it's only 30 miles south of Carlisle,,, and before anyone asks, yes... So how it go tits up,,, we leave Blsckpool expecting a hour and a half drive or so to Carlisle but satnav is saying 5 hours due to an accidental earlier in the day Penrith area closing the motorway,,, and any alternative route was taking hours so she had to cancel the meeting... So the idea of a quick drive from Carlisle to Cockermouth then out for a beer went out the window, plus we now had a hundred or so mile drive north to the holiday home, on a motorway with problems, so we cut through the lake District, we were in no hurry now so a pleasant drive with a beer on the way...Mcqueen wrote:Taking Janet to Coniston for lunch in the Bluebird Cafe, going in the Merc with roof off and giving it a shake down after all the work its had, finished it yesterday so hopefully alls well with it

Re: What are you doing today??
One was Patsy's 19 year old low mileage diesel Rover 25. Easy job, little patch. Now passed. Other one was the 1991 Panda. Jeez, inner sills both sides totally fecked. The rest of its nice and they're worth money so I will have to do it. Its up on wheel ramps and axle stands but theres no way I can do it like that scrabbling about underneath it at my age! Plan is to tip it on its side with the aid of my hoist gantry, ask Reg, hes seen it lol, then I can see what I'm doing without getting spattered with bits of red hot weld metal!Perfectspecimen wrote:Took 2 cars for MOT on Monday. Both failed, tin worm in sills.
