Pub Grub, we won the quiz last week so have free meal voucher, they sometime have lamb shank, peas, mash, gravy and mint sauce on the specials board, failing that it will be the steak pie peas chips and gravy from the normal menu...

What kind of soup? Think I might have some of that but it will only be Heinz as I have nothing home-made in the freezer But I do have a bit of garlic bread.

Better than heinz and if not much time. 2 Tins of toms, finely chopped onion add some herbs and seasoning. Boil it up, also boil some spuds at same time for thickening. all in a liquidizer, strain add a bit of cream and serve. Lovely
only lightly boil as you are liquidizing.
Garlic Bread, french stick cut at an angle. Get some butter and a good marg, put in a saucepan with 2 chopped cloves of garlic and seasoning, a little worcester sauce. Melt gently, spread on bread and grill., sprinkle a little chopped parsley.

I have a lady coming to lunch so no dinner tonight as we will probably be stuffed. I have just made a cheese and onion quiche which I am serving with salad and a small jacket potato, followed by upside down pud with cream.

We went out with my folks for lunch. I had salmon. You could bounce the thing off the ground. And the veg was cold. Sent it back. The manager of the hotel came over. Fair play to her for being that observant. Turned out, she was an ex of mine and I forgot all about the cold feckin dinner . ( Eileen noticed that bit as well )

We went to a restaurant for lunch. Mermaid had Garlic bread for starters and I had oatcakes with chicken liver pate and red currant jelly. For mains we both had Pepper chicken with chips and veg. Lovely...(and cheap).
