The great flood,
I know its a religious day today, But a great fllood in the student house is not what i wanted today, I always get excited when my moby rings with a number i dont recognise, Just in case its a buyer for a car, "Reg its ema from next door, There is all smoke pouring out of the back of the washing machine, And a funny noise" Bugger, Il be two minutes, got my tool bag and i was off, The pipe had burst behind and hot water was spraying everywhere, i thought i had one in stock but couldnt find it, Lucky for me wilko's was open, So i changed them both, Hot and cold, Put the good one back in the plumbing box for another day, Whats known as a flurry of activity, All calm again,

Re: What are you doing today??
Is that the good one that hasn’t burst yet, hope you kept the washers off the not so good one, that has burst, you never know when you’ll need them.......
Or did you keep the new washers and reuse the old ones, better to have the new ones as spares............
They will come in handy when the old ones fail......................

Me and Mermaid are going into town to get some holiday stuff, (need some of them little trainer socks that don't show above the shoe), get some tops and stuff. Might buy a false beard and glasses too so you lot won't recognise me when I waltz into the Beach Club... (Damn! I forgot...I'm only 5' 5", dead giveaway!)

Lexie had me icing a cake - Pink innit, Then she put love hearts round the edge, Then some candles -not 58, Then i had to light them while they stood round singing, I had to remind them i'm diabetic,Then i had to eat a slice while smiling,
Is that Death by pink cake ?, Sneaked of to lie on my back and do my exercises, Lasted 10 seconds before i was jumped on, ,

Re: What are you doing today??
Down the bottom of the garden i have a gate that go's on to the top of the railway cutting, Over the past year or so we have been building a Hide Out of branches and garden cuttings, The kids call it a den ?, We sit real quiet and see what turns up, Birds foxes all that stuff, I show them pictures of various birds, then they watch out for one, Well thats the theory, So train spotting this afternoon with lexie, We go to the bridge and wave and the drivers toot their horn, so Lex says lets go in the den - "Hide i say". Ok Lex says lets hide in the den , From the bridge i spotted a black thing running on and off the track ?, Not a cat they dont move like that, too small for a fox, i aint got a clue, Not scared of trains either, as soon as one passes its straight back out, Just too far away to see, Might borrow some bins for a look see,
I have some in tenerife too, , Couldnt start climbing down while lex was with me, to have a good look,
Its got me thinking

Re: What are you doing today??
I'd hazard a guess at a mink...
Lots of animals use the railway lines as a shortcut through the cities/towns as they know there are no humans there. Sort of animal highway. Is there a river/canal nearby Reg? Mink like water.

Mmm, River Aire down the hill, But its a fair way, cant see it commuting, Better get some bins and check it out, Janet and Lex could hardly see it, Untill i pointed it out, But to the ex SAS trained eye i saw it, I'm intrigued now,
Just a thought though, Thats the sort of thing that came in to my head at first, Because as it ran about it held its head up,
