See, I've got one of those old-fashioned gas cookers where everything comes with it. None of this separate hob, oven crap...Mines has all that in one and an Eye Level grill.

Spent 4 hours getting my old van ready for its NCT ( MOT). Even had to buy a new tyre . Got the van gleaming. Feckin thing failed on an imbalance between the front shocks ( 39mm on one side 24mm on tother). Bit of play in wheel bearing as well but thats no biggie. 150 quid for new shock and 28 quid for retest. So I rang the guy who's interested in buying the bus, told him I'd knock a ton off the asking. I'm meeting him in the morning at half 11 so hopefully, all will go well.

My kitchens finished now. Took longer than 30 minutes as I decided to put a copper gas pipe in instead of the plastic one that was there. Yes it was me that done that 20 years ago. Health and safety has moved on a bit, even for me. The insulation tape round the electrical connections was still intact too......

Make sure you check with your lighter that there is a good flow of gas Vince!

Well done Dermo, Not easy these days,

K9 this morning to buy a blanket someone knitted for my dogs that matches the décor of the living room (black and white), then off to the Vets to see if they would give me a free prescription for my daughter's cats monthly flea treatment.

No probs but the vet in the UK wanted £13.50 just to write a bit of paper. My vet also wondered if I want another dog apparently it looks like my Caña so is a caniche cross, and the lady who it belonged to has died. It also has diabetes (2 injections of insulin a day and a balanced diet) that wouldn´t have been a problem but I really don´t have the space and having 2 dogs already who would really object to another one coming along. Felt guilty at even considering taking it so bought my girls a new collar and lead each. One shocking pink the other purple !! Going to go on TF and see if anyone can help along with my contacts at the rescue centres.

Then off to do the shopping and finally home to chill in the sun - it is only 27 today so feels lovely.

Mot is cheap D but 850 for shocks and a belt? Shocking.
