I'm off me head again this morning. Got rid of the 3 month chest infection at the beginning of November and have had sinus trouble ever since. I've had 2 cups of coffee, 2 sinutab tablets and one sudafed tablet this morning.

Heard a rush of water from the bathroom so dashed through to find the sink tap in full flow. Bloody washer had perished. Had to force my arm round the back of the fridge to reach the cold water stop cock...couldn't move the fecking thing at full stretch so had to get a wrench to turn it off. Stripped the tap down to find the washer was bust, so up the loft hunting for old tap stuff ( I throw nothing out!), Bingo! Found a spare washer! Fitted, tap re-assembled, water turned back on, sorted!
I didn't fancy de-frosting the car and having to go up the town to B&Q!

lucky some new taps you need all kinds of tools. Get a car that defrosts itself, the future it is. Go out tell it to defrost 2 mins later, warm car and all defrosted.

Todat Matthew, I am going to dump the "Post type" thread in the basket as there is nothing useful to anyone in it and only gives lurkers something to talk about elsewhere. I've had a good sleep and I am going to start the day as though nothing had happened. I hope we can all do the same and get this forum back on track as the FUN forum it is meant to be.I'll be off in an hour or so as we need to fill the pantry as we are running a bit low on foodstuffs
