Hello everyone! Hope you are all fine and dandy.

Well... I was supposed to be working today. However, the electricity went off mid morning, and didn't show any signs of coming back on. The water is pumped electrically from a container a fair way down our hill... so I couldn't wash up or mop floors. The light through the windows held out long enough for me to finish my current book on the Kindle. I then got my quilt from the bed and had a snooze on the sofa.

In the meantime, Alan has driven up to Murcia to get the car put through its ITV (Spanish equivalent of MOT). It failed, but only on the brightness of the headlights. Fortunately he managed to find a nearby garage to sort it for €40. Bad news was that he found them late morning... and they were all sodding off for siesta. So he had to wait. He did get a McDonald's though... which he has been craving since we moved (we don't have one near us).

Leccy came back on and so I started working again. Then one of the dogs threw up at my feet.

Not my best day! But it's ok... Alan has been instructed to bring wine and firewood home so all's well that ends well. He'd just better hurry up!

Cut leylandi hedge today. Buggers 10+ foot tall and 100 foot long. I would chop it down but the neighbour doesnt want me gawping at her in the swimming pool.

Watching it too, just imagining the phone ringing in many apartment owners gaffs, "you know your apartment in Malibu park, can we have our money back". The cockroaches were also dead FFS so the pest control was working.
