Getting ready for tomorrow. Bringing the two eldest to the Irish Open golf in Kildare. They reckon they'll actually get to chat to Rory McIlroy!

Re: What are you doing today??
Old people eh Old kid turns up wanting to sell his car, "How is it" i asked him, "Fine" said he, so i went for a little drive and noticed a funny noise on the over run -( when you take your foot off and let it slow in gear) Mmm, stopped and read the service history and sure enough a note from his garage saying the gear box has some bearings going, Got back to mine and said "no thanks" "Why" said he, " your gear box is knackered thats why, it says so in the note in your service book"
Cheeky bleeder, and they go on about car dealers,

Re: What are you doing today??
Nah, he didnt, I was missing in action.........
Little adventure starts tomorrow. Roy has a new boat and we are bringing it up from East Farleigh on the River Medway in Kent to Wells on the north Norfolk coast. So Saturday afternoon we are going down to Kent on the train (public transport that is Reg) from Peterborough. We will go through the lock there and down to the next which is the last on the Medway ( Allington Lock) where there is a handy waterside pub called The Malt House where we can moor up immediately outside and possibly consume much food and alcohol................Early Sunday morning we will go through the lock and then its out through the Medway, across the Thames estuary and we aim to get to Brightlingsea Marina on the Essex coast. A fairly easy 40 odd nautical miles but there are many sandbanks to avoid.......... The following day (Monday) we should be leaving there and making for Lowestoft, about 60 nautical miles, where we will have to leave the boat for 2 or 3 days to let the tides catch up, and then from there another 60nm to Wells which will be its home port. Now, trust me, unless I am very much mistaken stuff can and probably will go wrong. I will be taking the camera and will put some photos up when we get back.
