Granton Harbour/railways must be a thing with my family,,, would seem before I can remember my dad on his motorbike had an argument with a train on the west pier at Granton Harbour,,, he's heading down the pier, to his left hand side there's a slow moving train, coming towards him is a truck with big bales of esparto grass, the bales are well overhanging the width of the truck, the truck driver ain't allowing for this and forces my dad on his bike in to a very narrow gap between truck and train, his arm hits one of the train wagons sending him in to a wobble, off he comes, bike clatters in to train wagons he hits deck,,, would seem bike came of worst in incident, train and truck driver probably didn't even know incident took place...

It's as if they (the tram operators) just can't wait to bring the trams to a halt, about a month back were heading in to town, were approaching the junction in the direction as shown in picture below, it's a crossroads controlled by traffic lights that the trams also go through, there's been a collision between a van and a woman, woman's on pavement near the green St Anne's school sign, there was also a bike lying on ground and van involved is parked up on side street on left which we were diverted in to for no reason other than a cop van was badly parked blocking straight on route, oh, there was also trams parked up, they had brought them to a halt, incident was not interfering with tram lines in any way but they're brought trams to a halt, why???
Read in paper next day they were unsure if woman had been on bike or not and that she was not seriously hurt...
Oh and while we're on that junction, Annie,,, some time back were heading town, rather than bearing left with the road she's following the tram tracks heading in to the tram only area, she realises her mistake and quickly pulls car to left back on to road we're meant to be on,,, I say got away with that one but in this country we drive on the left,,, in her panic we're now driving down the wrong side of the road,,, as said you just can't make it up...
Oh, and she has driven in to a tram only area in the past, I've previously posted about it...

Oh, and why I was looking at the site "tfgm" (Transport for Greater Manchester) was because I knew the system is shit, I went on their journey planner gizmo, trams came out the longest journey time for any journey I would ever do...

No, keep it as a reminder of how expensive these vanity projects are, and useless, slightest hiccup and system comes to a stop...

Well that's the job well fecked now, Andy Burnham (Manchester mayor) is getting involved...

Would seem the tram boss ain't happy some people decided to leave the trams and walk, can't blame them, on other occasions when the systems broke down people have been left trapped in them for hours... Don't understand why he ain't happy with people walking on the tracks, it's compulsory to do so in the city centre to get anywhere...

91% of people think there's nothing wrong with the current transport system but the council seem determined to press ahead with it...
