I'm back! 2 hours after scheduled time I walks into theatre. Nurses and doc were really good. 5 mins into the procedure I was in agony, he's trying to ram this camera up my arse and it wasn't having it! 
(Seriously, it was feckin' agony). Takes it out and uses a gastroscope instead, half the thickness innit. Why didn't he use that first? Bassa. 
Anyhoo, it seems I have Diverticulosis which causes a narrowing of the colon, which is why he couldn't get the big camera up. No polyps or untoward ulcers or anything though which is good news. Told me to change my diet to high fibre, fruit, nuts etc (which I eat anyway) and to drink plenty of fluids. So pretty good overall.
