Re: What are you doing today??
The real reason why Windows 9 was ditched? We reckon it’s simply because Microsoft wanted to literally put some distance between the flop that was (and still is) Windows 8 and its successor. It’s a psychological play and a reference to the fact that Windows 10 is a big step on, and far removed, from Windows 8.

I bought Microsoft Office 2010 through my work for £10 a few years ago. It migrated across when I did the upgrade.

Re: What are you doing today??
Need to strengthen the towbar on my campervan so there is extra bolts going through the rear cross member. I am lying underneath with a spanner on one end of a bolt so I told Freddie to tighten it up nice and tight from the other end. Feck me he sheared the bolt! Needless to say the nut wouldnt undo then on my side so I have had to drop the fuel tank now to get the bolt out. Such fun, I shall carry on tomorrow......

It's called the yield point, once you've exceeded that the bolts fecked, broken or not...

Going into town. Got a load of stuff the grand kids don't use any more for the charity shops. Also Macie wants some slippers and Trish needs more Christmas cards.

Re: What are you doing today??
Went to Tony Macaroni's for lunch today and saw "Tacchina de Natale", described as turkey with all the trimmings. It came with turkey right enough but the "trimmings" were red peppers, mushrooms and frittered potatoes! Tasty though.
