Re: What are you doing today??
Today Mathew I'm being proactive, it has involved another visit to C C Aboras but it's ok Reg I have a VAT receipt, and it is all in the interest of keeping your neighbours happy, it's all to do with problems were having in the bedroom department, feckin two single beds pushed together,,, every time Annie approaches me she disappears down the gap in the middle, now the people below must be getting really pissed of with splatting noise she makes when she hits the floor not to mention the verbal that comes out of her at the same time... Now the solution, two lengths of rope, one length of chain and a padlock,,, I have to say I did get a few funny looks from C C Aboras staff when making the purchase but I know your neighbours will appreciate the effort, with the rope I have tied the legs of the bed together, this should prevent the gap appearing, but to be on the safe side I will also chain and padlock Annie to her half of the bed,,, simple innit...
Oh, and after we head home it don't stop there, new business venture Reg, knowing how security conscious you are I will chain and padlock the balcony chairs and sun beds together so as to prevent some fecker half inching them, to get access to the key your punters will have to deposit €20 in my bank account before I tell them when I've hid it, now your thinking what's in this for me, well, apart from the piece of mind knowing your furniture is safe, once I have recouped the initial cost of the equipment involved I will split the profits with you...
This time next year Reg we'll be millionaires...

Re: What are you doing today??
Feck me i'm going to regret this , First thing the old couples that i favour ask is are they single beds, because a good nights sleep is more important than phornicating,
I love CC Abora DIY Janet knows her way around that place, I deal with the language barrier, I shout and wave my arms about,
Also have you noticed the bar stool and table are very similar to the ones in the new cafe

Turn the 2 beds sideways Minty. That way you won't have to strip them at all!

Chopping kindling for my folk's. Changing spark & oil in lawnmower. Bringing kids to a parade later. Well, Darragh is the only one who wants to see a parade, the rest just want pizza and chips. I know, not very Irish of us on the day that's in it.

Re: What are you doing today??
Today Mathew I was sitting on the bog and Annie barges in, it was pretty embarrassing cos I'd found the porn mags Carol left,,, Reg, are you aware that bog door lock is a bit dodgy, but don't worry about it, I just nipped up to C C Abora and got one of them cheap (€2.24) sliding bolt door snibs , problem was screws only came in a pack of 50 and I only needed 8, adding the cost of them plus the cost of a screwdriver the bill would have been over €10, but luckily I noticed they sold loose nails by weight so I got 8, bird on the checkout didn't even charge me for them as they wouldn't register on the scales, result there then, but don't worry I still got a VAT receipt for the lock, got back to the apartment then realised I didn't have a hammer,,, thought I ain't heading all the way back to C C Aboras to get one so improvised by using the heel of one of Annies stilettos to thump the nails in, locks is now on the door and working, all be it a bit shoogly, but it should prevent any more embarrassing situations...
