I have never come across perfect yet, I got the feeling the expert was a bit deflated and pleased to see the back of me, i got my moneys worth and the few bits that are not up to scratch will be fettled by me over the summer,
on a scale of 1 to 10 he was a seven maybe 8, In comparison with the spanish plumber who was a 2 out of 10,
Janet lets me unwind myself before asking how was it,I reply is it me and she says yes dear

I thought that might be the case 90% of our turnover at one time used to be in shopfitting in the good old days when people used to smile on siteszdeekie wrote:Construction & shopfitting Jim xangusjim wrote:Excuse me being nosy but what do you dozdeekie wrote:Ben got home early hours after a long drive, a few days looking at another job then back up to Peterhead for phase 2 x

Re: What are you doing today??
Got Brodie again, however for the past few days I've been cleaning a brass oil lamp that I put in the loft about 25 years ago. The brass was tarnished something rotten but I've attacked it with brasso and elbow grease and over 4 days I've brought it back to it's former shining glory. I'll need to buy some oil for it online because I can't find anyplace thet sells it. The wick turners had seized solid but I got the WD40 on them and after a day or two, I've got them working again. It's a double wick lamp. the 4 photos attached are over 4 days showing the progress of the brasso cleaning...

Well, weather has let us down today. We were supposed to be taking Macie to the bluebell woods up near Perth. Have to think of something else.
