Re: What are you doing today??
I would buy a van and drive it down there and then sell the van to someone in Tenerife for the reverse trip. Not rocket science is it. LDVs are big. £500.

Only an idiot would use toll roads. Whats the hurry? And then a nice cruise on the ferry. 2 ferries. Wouldnt use that tunnel, boring.

Folkestone to anywhere South in France is an absolute nightmare if you don't use Toll roads, no rush but you are talking a real long time Mince.
Not Practical nor is it good for animals or Jan. Plus it still ain't cost effective.

Re: What are you doing today??
I have done Calais to Cadiz in 48 hours sleeping first night in the car but I wouldnt recommend that. Easy enough with 2 overnight stops though (60 hours). Newhaven-Dieppe down to Bordeaux area. Next day Madrid area. Next day Cadiz. You would never make it though because you would have a Sat-nav that sends you down Motorways. I can read map whilst rolling a fag at 60...... When I retire we will do the trip there and back with doggy in camper van so we can escape the friggin winter. Dont give a monkeys how long it takes. In France they sell nice local red wine in plastic gallon containers for peanuts ....... And Andorra is beautiful (and tax free). Too much of a hurry you are, end up on a slab. By the way, how much did they quote?
